Work has halted at Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue, the site of the construction project City Point, amixed use development, according to the Yimby website.
City Point already has opened 50,000 square feet of retail, which includes AX Armani Exchange. But the article says a lawsuit has frozen Phase 2, which was expected to add 650,000 square feet of retail space.
The article, here, says that Albee Development, the general contractor, has failed to pay several contractos on the job, sparking the suit.
The article says Albee lost a suit earlier this month filed by the principal cement contractor on the project. There is an injunction against Albee from using the contractor's materials, which are under lockdown in downtown Brooklyn at the site, and which the contractor says it needs for another job.
