RXR Realty has got the go ahead for a big development out on Long Island.
This Island Now has the details on how the company has received approval for a $300 million, 244-unit condominium complex in North Hills, N.Y.--a small town of only about 5,000 people.
The report locates the development "along the south service road of the Long Island Expressway between Powerhouse Road and New Hyde Park Road."
RXR has not yet posted details of the developments on its site, which is approved subject to a revised parking plan for part of the site, according to the report.
RXR lists 28 Long Island properties in its portfolio; the firm notes on its website that it has added $2.6 billion in New York City properties over the past 18 months.
The article says an RXR unit has owned the property, and the company has been working on redevelopment, for six years.
