866 United Nations Plaza, from Costar Group

Vornado Realty Trust, which is one of the New York's biggest commercial landlords, put out a release yesterday announcing the official close of the deal for 866 United Nations Plaza for $200 million. (And first discussed on QuidnuncRE HERE.)

The building fills a lot along with a twin condo development on the east side of First Avenue stretching to the FDR Drive between E. 48th and E. 49th Sts.  It is a 38-floor, 360,000 square foot office building.

The REIT says the sale resulted in net proceeds of approximately $146 million, after repaying existing debt and closing costs.

The buyers are two private NYC real investment firms Meadow Partners and United Realty Partners.
