The Wall Street Journal reports this afternoon that Citigroup Inc. will stay in its current downtown office, extending its lease for 15 years beyond the current expiration.
The report says that it has signed a 2.6 million square-foot deal with SL Green Realty Corp., attributing the facts on the deal at Tribeca's 388-390 Greenwich St. to multiple people briefed on the deal.
The article, available HERE with a subscription, says that Citigroup has extended the lease to 2035. It also notes that the lease is Citigroup's biggest in Manhattan, where it is headquartered at 399 Park Ave.
SL Green has posted a release with the transaction's details HERE.
